Domino – Albatros has raised 4,1 million Euro to finance its growth and development plan through acquisitions. Domino – Albatros is 100% controlled by Certina Holding AG,  an industrial holding, established in the mid ’80 and based in Munich, Germany.

Certina invests in specialized businesses by purchasing the majority shareholding in medium sized companies and raises the value appreciation potential by means of internal management know-how. In the wellness sector, Certina holds the ownership of two Italian historical brands:

Vitaviva, company specialized in manufacturing shower boxes and whirlpools, acquired in 2009 from Villeroy and Boch;
Domino, leading manufacturer of whirlpools, multifunction showers and mini-spa under the Albatros brand.

Domino has been acquired in October 2010 from the Swedish Group Sanitec Corporation, as the sector slump and difficulties related to the previous management led the Company to a relevant slowdown and margins drop. After the acquisition, Certina started a restructuring process together with actions of brand re-launching.

With the fund raised Certina has made a new acquisition by purchasing the 100% of  C.M.V., company specialized in the engineering, production and sale of saunas and spas.
C.M.V. studies, produces and distributes saunas, Turkish baths, hammams, hydromassages, showers and bathroom furniture for hotels, spas, beauty farms, vessels, yachts and also private customers.
Established in ‘50, C.M.V. has been the first company to sells saunas and Turkish baths in the Italian market.
The integration of C.M.V. has a  clear strategic meaning in the Group’s  aim to constitute the first and most important Italian player in the wellness and bathroom furniture sector, by offering a complete products range.
Certina has planned to create an integrated industrial Group, with well established and  structured commercial/marketing organization, present in all the market channels and capable to distribute its products in Italy and abroad by exploiting historical “Made in Italy” brands. Cavour has advised Certina Holding in the fund raising, by arranging and co-ordinating the Banks and in the negotiations for the acquisition of C.M.V.
