Oniro Group has acquired Baleri Italia Cavour Corporate Finance advised Oniro Group in the acquisition process
ONIRO GROUP is one of the most important companies in the Italian luxury furniture and interior design industry. The Group originated in 1985 when the Jumbo Collection brand was founded to create classic style furniture; over time new collections were added with the acquisition of licenses for the production of innovative and trendy furniture. Prior to this acquisition, the Group had five brands in its portfolio, including in-house and under license: Jumbo Collection, JCP Universe, Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors, ETRO Home Interiors, and Gianfranco Ferré Home, with a total turnover of about 40 million euros. The growth strategy consists of acquiring new brands and expanding foreign markets, which already account for more than 80 percent of turnover. In this sense, Cavour has been tasked to advise Oniro in identifying a strong brand in the Contemporary Design segment, finding it in Baleri.
Baleri Italia is an iconic Italian design brand, founded by Enrico Baleri and Marilisa Decimo in 1984, which offers furniture complements, armchairs, sofas and ottomans signed by great masters and young beginners in contemporary classic. Baleri is distributed in Europe, USA, Africa and Asia through more than 300 stores, retailers and agents. The acquisition of Baleri Italia shares is part of Oniro’s brand expansion strategy to consolidate its path of growth and recognition in the design market
Alessandro Costa, Partner at Cavour Corporate Finance, advised ONIRO Group in all phases of the acquisition process.
