Cavour advised MAPEI in an acquisition in Columbia

MAPEI has acquired 100% of Productos Bronco, company based in Columbia and specialized in the production of adhesives and waterproofing products for the construction industry.

MAPEI Group, with 81 subsidiaries, of which 7 service companies, with 70 plants operating on five continents, is today world leader in the manufacturing of adhesives and chemical products for building. In 2015 MAPEI has realized a turnover of more than EUR 2 billion and it aims to reach 3 billion euro.

Mapei put its strategy of internationalization into action in order to have maximum proximity to the needs of local markets and reduce shipping costs to a minimum.

The acquisition of Bronco is part of MAPEI strategy to enter foreign markets, an internationalization process that has been the driver of the development of the Group.

Productos Bronco, founded in 1983, is headquartered in Medellin and has several stores in Colombia and Panama. It specializes in the production of adhesives and sealing products and holds a relevant share of the local market.

Cavour advised the MAPEI Group also in this deal, after the acquisition of the Mexican Texzim, in June 2016.
