The IMAP NYC Meeting
The IMAP Spring Conference 2011 has been held in New York City, at Jumeriah Essex Hotel, following the International Mergers & Acquisition Symposium.
The hotel, located in the hearth of NYC, near Central Park, has hosted 120 attendees. The Conference began with a cocktail event at the Mandarin Hotel in the Time Warner building overlooking Columbus Circle.
The IMAP Spring Conference and the International M&A Symposium were hosted by the US IMAP partner, Morgan Joseph TriArtisan, and were sponsored by two top International law firms, respectively DLA Piper and Akerman Senterfitt, with the contribution of Capital IQ, one of the leading worldwide business information companies.
During the Symposium, open to external delegates, Senior M&A transaction advisers led panel discussions with representatives of major industry corporations that are active in the M&A market, as well as attorneys and private equity executives who cover the respective industries:

The IMAP NYC Conference was the fourth international Symposium organized and sponsored by IMAP; the previous were held in 2010 in Paris, in 2009 in Los Angeles and Istanbul.
After the Symposium the IMAP Spring Meeting followed, with the usual workshops, Industry Groups meetings (Food, Industrials, Healthcare, Energy), one-to-one meetings, and a rich program of social events.
During the Global Opportunities Meeting, the IMAP members presented some projects valued over USD 100 million.
The Gala Dinner was held at the River Cafè, underneath the Brooklin Bridge. Special guest was Joe Leonard, one of IMAP founders.
The next IMAP conference will be held next October in Marbella, hosted by the Spanish IMAP partner GBLynx.
