Based in Sywell, Northamptonshire (UK) Collingwood was among the first in the UK to create a range of LED lighting products designed specifically for the electrical distribution market.<\/p>\n
Founded in 1901, in its long history Collingwood has built a solid reputation for the high quality, reliability, design and technical performance of its products.<\/p>\n
Since<\/b> February<\/b> 2021, <\/b>Collingwood<\/b> has<\/b> been<\/b> a portfolio company of Ambienta SGR<\/b>, which manages the world’s largest fund with an environmental sustainability strategy and has completed fifty investments across Europe.<\/p>\n
Nobile Italia Spa<\/b>, based in Rome, is among Italy’s leading manufacturers of indoor and outdoor LED fixtures. It is a family business, led by the second generation of the Nobile family who founded the company over 40 years ago and led it to development in the Italian and international markets.<\/p>\n
Cavour Corporate Finance<\/b>, as part of a partnership with Ambienta SGR, <\/b>assisted<\/b>, <\/b>together<\/b> with Industry Expert Gherardo <\/b>Flaccomio<\/b>, Ambienta\/<\/b>Collingwood<\/b> Lighting in the <\/b>acquisition<\/b> of Nobile Italia Spa<\/b>, with partial reinvestment by the Nobile Family and DG in the vehicle that controls Collingwood Lighting.<\/p>\n
This is the second transaction in a few months that Cavour <\/b>has<\/b> closed<\/b> with Ambienta Fund portfolio company<\/b>, following the acquisition of FIAS by Nactarome in November 2021.<\/p>\n
Cavour is particularly pleased to have worked alongside Ambienta Private Equity<\/b>, a forerunner and European leader in ESG investments, and Collingwood<\/b> Lighting management<\/b>.<\/p>\n
This transaction, and a couple more deals being finalized by the end of the year, reinforce<\/b> Cavour’s<\/b> strategy of working on projects of <\/b>aggregation<\/b> between<\/b> companies and market <\/b>consolidation<\/b>, especially alongside Private Equity <\/b>focused<\/b> on <\/b>such<\/b> transactions<\/b> (so-called add-ons<\/b>).<\/p>\n
It should also be noted that the Collingwood<\/b> Lighting deal <\/b>is<\/b> the <\/b>fourth<\/b> transaction<\/b> in the Lighting <\/b>sector<\/b> in the past 10 years that Cavour has been involved as advisor, following the sale of Nemo Cassina to the <\/b>Omikron<\/b> Group<\/b>, the acquisition of ViaBizzuno<\/b> by the 21 Investimenti fund<\/b>, and the acquisition of Unilux<\/b> by the <\/b>Slovak<\/b> OMS Lighting group<\/b>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
